A very special Mother's Day

This Mothers Day has been very special for many, many reasons.  Lily and I decided to surprise Feddy by flying out to Colorado.  It worked like a charm because she was absolutely thrilled and completely surprised.  To make the time even sweeter, we got to tell Feddy, Kemo and the whole mountain family that we are heading back to Colorado!

The past couple of months have been challenging.  Opportunities have come and gone and the trajectory of our family has had to change.  What a blessing to be able to come back to Colorado, but so hard to feel like we are starting over for the 4th or is it 5th? time in our short 8 years of marriage.  Bob has been my hero through all of it and I have never felt more loved, or more fought for.  Especially when he passed up an opportunity in Raleigh for the chance to go back to Colorado.  I am humbled by him.

Celebrating Mother's Day with all of the mother's in my family has been wonderful.  We miss Daddy, but catching this moment of 4 generations together and realizing that these moments will happen much more often in the coming months has made this year a very special one indeed.
