Merry Christmas Again!

So after catching up with some friends, we all hunkered in at home and got ready to celebrate our holiday. Altogether we had Mom and Dad, Great Grandma, Aunt Jayne and Uncle Tom, my cousins Jessi, Chase, Beth, Derek and Heather. We also had Heather's two adorable two and a half year old twins Kinley and Mykennah. What a blast! Lily thoroughly enjoyed being passed around.

She loved her Great Aunt Jayne and smiled like a cutie.

Here she is with Chase and even at 14 pounds she still looks like a peanut in his arms.

Beth was so cute with her too.

They spent countless moments snuggling together. Beth even got to feed her

and of course got a good dose of baby throw up on her as well. Lily had to initiate everyone. Bob came up with this clever idea for Baby throw up. Once she is fed just hover her over the sink. No clean up necessary! Good idea in principal, but the baby didn't time her throw ups real well.

Next came Uncle Derek and Heather.

Kinley and Mykennah were absolutely enthralled with the baby and were constantly asking me where she was.

Once they saw me feeding Lily, they kept on asking me, "Lily need to eat you?" It was so cute. Then if I started on one side they would keep asking me, "Her eat that one?" (pointing to the other side). Absolutely adorable. Of course by the end of the weekend they were putting balls in their shirt and feeding their own little babies. Kids do say and do the darndest things!

Fortunately, there was just enough snow that we could head out to our hill and sled. Even though it was bright we just had to take Lily out to experience her first ever sledding!

I am not sure if she really liked it because she neither smiled nor frowned but it was super cute to watch her anyways! We always have a blast sledding.

Dad gets the 20 year old snowmobile out and we have a good ole' time flying down the hill. The twins spent the whole afternoon just riding up and down on the snowmobile.

I remember when I was that little (well not really, but pictures help). Ah Memories!

After coming in from the hill, Lily got to spend some quality time with Grandpa Kemo and Daddy. She loves Dr. Suess and here she is enjoying One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Later that night Lily got a bath in Grandma's bathtub

and we all gathered together to start our Christmas.

My family enjoys the holidays by doing a gift exchange. It makes it so much more enjoyable because it is personal and we each get to take turns.

Jessi had me and gave me all sorts of Rachael Ray cooking utensils. I am so excited about them.

I had Heather and she got gift cards and a cute pair of earrings.

Heather had Tom and got him a slew of Bicycling items. Tom is a huge cyclist so the gift was perfect.

Tom was lucky enough to get Gran Fran. He got her her own visa card with Lily's picture right on the card. Now whenever Grandma shops she can brag on her little great granddaughter.

Grandma had Jessi and she wanted Harmonicas. She also got some English/German Dictionaries because she is going to study abroad in Germany.

All that I have to say is I hope she comes back with slew of Harmonica numbers!

Dad had Bob and got him a 2 terrabit harddrive. Now for those of you who don't understand how big that is apparently it is HUGE and can hold a tremendous amount of songs/docs/videos etc. It was a perfect gift for Bob.

Bob in turn had Mom and she wanted a French Press. After all coffee always tastes better in a French Press!

Mom had Derek and all he wanted was a gift card so Mom added a couple of fun shirts to the gift. Sponge Bob was definitely the best!

Derek had Chase and gave him a gift card. Of course, it was wrapped in 12 layers of paper. So Derek!

Chase had my Dad and per usual my Dad's list was "A case of wine and a gallon of motor oil." So practical Daddy!

Beth had Jayne and got her some cozy, fuzzy slippers.

Jayne then had Beth and gave her a gift card as well as some priceless family heirlooms including a beautiful tea set including cups and saucers. Beth was so cute and cried all the way through her presents.

Lily got the most wonderful present of all, but you will have to wait for the next post to find out what that was.....

Lexi, Luke and all of the dogs had a great time too!

On Sunday morning Bob lead a devotional about the Lord's Prayer. He did such a wonderful job and we had a really special family church service. We all finished the weekend by cramming on our little couch and catching a memory. Can't wait to see everyone again!
