Cali Coast Adventures: Legoland

I won't lie, I really never thought I would be excited to go to LEGOLAND, but I seriously was so excited!  The girls both really love to build Legos and I won't lie, I was really intrigued by a land made up of Legos.  It did not disappoint and we all had a BLAST!

These two chose to wear their matching dresses just to make keeping track of them harder. We got to chauffeur these two and arrived first so we took them up to the adjoining hotel and checked out one of the thousands of Lego statues.  I will tell you, the structures are SO impressive.  Just thousands upon thousands of Legos.

We didn't make it ten feet into the park before everyone wanted to check out the gift shop. The bouncer at the front seemed intimidating, but he was kind enough to pose for a picture.

Legoland was perfect for all of our kids because everyone, including Zach, could ride most of the rides.  Everything was a bit on the small side for us adults, but we all had a blast partnering up with a kid and watching their joy.  It was extra fun to watch our big kids ride their own rides!

We, of course, had to do facepainting.  No matter that everyone sweat it off within an hour, the pictures and memories were so worth it!  In true Evie and Jess fashion, they chose the same style.  So cute.

Then we found the STAR WARS area and it was AMAZING!!!!!!  Okay, okay, if you know us you know that we are into Star Wars around here (well, I'm trying to be) and they had miniature scenes from every Star Wars movie on display in Legos and it was almost mind boggling.  WOW, the Legos!

Not even kidding, that is a Millennium Falcon of Legos.....and it wasn't small!

I will admit, this Death Star scene was my absolute favorite.  In person it was amazing.  The Death Star alone contains over 500,000 Legos!  Can you imagine having to build that?

We did it all and finished the day back at the gift shop with some very happy and tired kids. We promised some Lego purchasing and all the kids had a really hard time deciding.

Especially the really big kid.  Bob got one of his dream Lego sets, the Saturn V rocket.

Legoland was a blast and such a great memory with all of this incredible family. We cannot wait to go back!
