Spring Daze ahead!

I just love spring and the joy and family that come with it. Feddy and Kemo came down to visit last week and we had a wonderful weekend together. Grandma Feddy got right into baby care by feeding the little one.

Lily has been working so hard on figuring out the eating thing and Grandma's skilled feeding techniques worked wonders. I was amazed at how clean Feddy kept Lily. I definitely have a thing or two to learn. Grandpa Kemo helped of course by showing Lily how to open her mouth as well as playing defense against the hand that kept grabbing the spoon. Food still ended up in Lily's hair, ears, eyelids and arms, but what a treat!

Along with spending moment after moment watching the antics of Lily Grace, we headed over to the Town of Cary's annual music and arts festival. Saturday was a perfect day for it too. The weather was perfect and the sun was shining. After our long run in the morning we headed over to the festival and enjoyed the lines and lines of booths offering, arts, foods and culture.

We especially loved the kettle corn. Yum o Yum. We thoroughly enjoyed eating our fill of popcorn while watching a street performance of fighting pirates. They were more comical than anything and we laughed and laughed.

What a great afternoon and some great shots to boot.

Grandma Feddy was such a wonderful help and she was so cute with the baby. From the "Forehead Knocker, Eye Winker, Tommy Tinker, Nose Dropper, Mouth Eater, Chin Chopper, Goochy, Goochy Goo" to "Ride a little horsey into town, watch out Lily or you fall down," I just giggled watching them play.

What a joyful time of life! Babies are so precious and such a tremendous blessing. Lily never ceases to remind me of God's unending love for me. Watching my mom step so easily into the Grandma role is another beautiful reminder of blessings that abound.

By the end of the visit, Lily was loving bananas and carrots, all the while smiling and entertaining us with her giggles.

Grandma was just smitten with the little Lily Grace and both Feddy and Kemo thoroughly enjoyed another weekend with the blooming baby.
