Doing Big Things

Life is moving at the speed of a freight train right now.  They told me it would.  This season of life is hard, and exciting, and constantly moving.  These girls, our girls, are becoming little women and finding their way, their place, their drive.

Evie Frances just tried out for the Pre-Competitive team at her Gymnastics and next week starts on her way to competitive gymnastics.  This girl has the gumption, the body, and the drive.  She is relentless.  This past couple months she does cartwheels, back walk-overs, back bends, front walk overs, handstands, and splits everywhere.  Going to church? She does backbends to her class.  On our way to the car? She does handstands down the walk.  This kid is driven (like her mother) and finding what she loves.  And she LOVES gymnastics.

This girl is fast leaving behind her toddler hood.  Its good and hard.  I cannot wait to see what she does, but acutely aware of the fact that my baby girl is not longer here.  Evie is growing up.....spectacularly.

Lily is crushing school right now.  It as been a doozy of a 3rd and 4th grade year, but his lady has taken the challenge and risen well above it.  Not only has she navigated homeschooling, remote schooling, and changing schools, she has risen to the top of her class and was given both Student of the Quarter and a spot on the Honor Roll.  She sits as one of the top students of her class and in the midst of worrying about AZ merit testing her teacher, Mrs. Sanchez, reached out to tell me that Lily is the LAST kid she would worry about.  In fact, Lily is now tutoring and helping one of the other kids in her class and getting "paid" (in class currency) for it. I am so proud of this lady and her ability to put her best foot forward.

Life is chaotic and crazy and wild.  I have determined to just take pictures in whatever state any of us are because honestly, we are constantly going and moving and doing and living.

Lily and Evie, I am so proud of you.  Girls you can do whatever you set your mind to.  You are so capable and so possible and I believe in you! Never be afraid of hard things.  Never let setbacks set you all the way back.  You are special, you are amazing, and you have got all of the possibilities ahead of you.

God has made you, purposed you, designed you, given you talents, and blessed you with a support system to boot.  We are for you......all the time.  Go, and do, and be bold about it!

Love you, Mom
