You Were Worth It!

Yes you were! Today represents the culmination of the greatest life every lived, and the greatest sacrifice ever made. The day our Lord and Saviour conquered death and bridged the gap between the sin of the world and the glory of the Lord. What a blessed day, what a blessed life, what a blessed death, and it was given for YOU. You were worth it. If you were the only person on the earth Jesus would have done it all for you. He would have come as a babe, lived a life of service, died a torturous death and would have traversed the gates of Hell to conquer death for you. Remember today that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord"(Romans 3:23). Know that "God so loved the world that He sent his only Son to die for you. So that whoever believes in Him and calls Him Saviour will not perish, but will have eternal life" (John 3:16). Understand that Jesus is "The Way, the Truth and the Life, you don't get anywhere without HIM (John 14:6). And may you know without doubt "how wide, how long, how high and how deep the Father's love is" (Ephesians 3:18). Happy Resurrection Day!

What a great weekend we have had. We have thoroughly enjoyed this Easter weekend and have treasured the time spent together as a family. Saturday consisted of running, coffe and crepes, nap time (not just Lily's) and church. It was such a great day and we had a wonderful time together. Lily got to wear a special dress that was made by her Grandma Feddy for me when I was her age. How neat to see it on my baby girl. Of course she ended up having a blow out diaper and thoroughly soiling the bottoms, but she looked cute for a while!

On Sunday we started the day with another run and a visit to the park. Lily and I got to try the swings this time and she loved just lounging around with mom.

Later we had some friends over and I roasted my first ever chicken! Not only one, but 2 of them. They turned out absolutely fantastic! I do have to say that the preparation for the birds was a little stomach turning to say the least. I don't know how women did it a hundred years ago.

Bob got to learn how to carve his first bird and we had a feast and a half. Of course we had to top it off with apple pie and ice cream, YUM. Micah loved on Rocky, and Caleb loved on Lily.

We all had a wonderful time together. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had a fantastic weekend and a truly divine Easter!
