It's Easter Egg Hunt Time!
I just love spring time and even more than that I love the Easter season. There is just such a celebration of life. You see it everywhere, the trees, the flowers, the people and especially in every little baby that you see. Lily is no exception. We have been treasuring every new "first" that happens in her life. It is so much fun because everything is a first for her. It gives us joy in the seemingly simple things again like an Easter Egg Hunt!
We got the invitation to come out and find some colorful eggs a while back and I kept telling Lily how much fun she was going to have. Her Grandma Jill bought her first easter basket while she was visiting.
It is pink with a little bow on it. We got her all dressed up in her spring time dress complete with ruffles on her socks and a blue bow in her hair.
She was absolutely adorable and a cute as a button full of smiles and joy. She immediately flashed the camera and wanted to show me her little belly button and cute matching panties.
What is it with girls and lifting their dresses over their heads?
The party had plenty of kids, food and candy and Lily enjoyed taking it all in from the crook of Daddy's arm.
When the hunt started she could really have cared less. Bob went with her and found some little eggs. He put her on the grass and she proceeded to cry about it.
I doubt that she will be crying next year, once she learns that there is candy in those little colorful balls.
After the hunt we all went in and Lily got to play with some new friends Anne and Brooke.
Brooke was born on the same day as Lily so they played on the couch while Anne looked on. We all had a blast and enjoyed sharing in each others lives. It is a real treat to be around other families with little ones.
Once we got home the sweet baby was wooped. She was sound asleep clinging to her links.
They have become her favorite toy and she just loves pulling them apart and chewing on them. What a great day and a perfect way to spend some family time together.
