Arizona is chaulk full of amazing places to hike. It truly is incredible. My life has had to make some big adjustments over the past month due to my health (more on that.....at some point). So we have been doing a lot less and hiking, walking, and yogaing a lot more. We finally made it out to do the Wave Cave here in AZ and it was so much fun.
Grandma came with us over the Easter weekend and the day could not have been more perfect. I was really looking forward to this one because I have seen picture after picture of the cave and have imagined myself being able to handstand in the wave cave. I was really hoping that it was going to be possible.
The first portion of the hike was flat and lovely while the last half of the hike was darn near straight up. Even though it was only April it got hot and with no clouds in the sky we were all feeling it.
But alas we made it to the wave cave and boy was it worth it!
We rode the wave and I accomplished my goal of handstand. And y'all, it was gorgeous. Controlled up, controlled down, and only made Grandma a little nervous.
The cave is huge and was such a cool respite from the hot desert. We must have stayed in there for a good half hour before making our way back down the hill.
