Alaska: Juneau

Ya'll there is nothing like waking up on a boat, opening your balcony door and seeing this view.  Alaska's inside passage

Our first full day was spent at sea.  I loved it.  It was an absolute delight to wake up, know my kids were totally taken care of, grab some tea and explore the ship.

After sitting on the balcony, we decided to take part in some activities.  I chose LINE DANCING!

We all had a blast!

Bob and I went to the gym, Lily read, we all ate multiple times, spent hours chatting, sharing and catching up.....

and finished the night with a family dinner and the onboard show "Spotlight Bar."  AMAZING!

The next morning we arrived in Juneau and were all bundled energy waiting for the Captain to tell us we could disembark.

Juneau was amazing.  We immediately hopped off and headed to the Mendenhall Glacier and Waterfall.

Even with the glacier slowly receding, the waterfall was spectacular and the hike perfectly doable for all of us.

Evie and Mike drank right out of the water and we explored the beauty of the place.

We stopped at a local brewery for a local brew and then Bob and I said goodbye to everyone and headed to our helicopter glacier tour.

When in Rome I say.  The tour took us in a helicopter to land on one of the glaciers.  A place very few people ever get to go.

It truly was an amazing experience to stand on top of that live glacier, even better to handstand on it.

Meanwhile everyone else took the tram up the mountain and then headed to a very cold salmon bake!

It rained and rained all day, but our first stop was magical.  We made our way back to the ship and were out of port and on our way!
