All the Babies in One Place

It has been a whirlwind week here at the Longmire home. I think after 5 days of being home I am finally feeling on top of my game again. My eye has healed and the memory of that hellish flight is slowly fading away. It has since become more comical than anything. Lily came back from Colorado a different little person.

She bit me for the second time nursing and now the bar has officially closed. She has decided that sleeping through the night is stupid and therefore Mom shouldn't either. Opening every cabinet door and pulling items out is not only fun but its a game to see how much she can get out before Mom can stop her. Closing doors is an excellent exercise, however, getting stuck behind them is not. Lily: "It closed so easily, why can't mommy open it with me still sitting here?" She may not be walking, but she can crawl into all sorts of trouble (ie. the toilet bowl) in less time than it takes me to blink and she knows the sign for "more" and "all done" and missing or mixing them up is truly a travesty. Aside from all of the new trouble she is finding, her little personality is coming out more and more. Lily can smile and her smile lights up the room, she can giggle and her giggle makes me want to kiss her endlessly, she can snuggle and her snuggliness makes me want hold her and forget about vacuuming, she can learn and her smarts make me look with great anticipation to the future. She is so special.

She is also learning about sharing. It is a new concept and most everything she shares she wants right back, but I love how her heart is growing and learning to love others. Feddy and Kemo bought Lily an adorable little nativity set this year and Grace and I came into the living room the other day to see this precious moment.

They were the cutest little diaper bottoms playing with the little baby Jesus in the manger. It was a sweet, although short, moment, but a glimpse into the hearts of our babies. Such a joy to see them together in one place. Jancsi is slowly getting more mobile, but Lily still runs circles around him.

By the time Jancsi gets his toy working in his little hands Lily Grace moseys on by and snatches it. Sharing happens, but not all the time. It's a learning process. They are so cute together and we are so utterly blessed that Lily has a little brother in the house.
