Evie Bee RAWRs into 8: Part 1

Birthdays are just the BEST DAYS EVER!  I mean remember as a kid when you couldn't wait for your birthday to happen?  The planning, the changing your mind, the hoping, oh I deeply remember.

Well this chick has been planning her 8th birthday since she turned 7.  We have been through roughly 50 iterations of all that she could do, and finally settled on Sunsplash with Memew and Papa and then a party with her friends at Uptown Jungle! Phase one is now complete!

This kiddo is all about the dinosaurs lately ever since we showed both girls the Jurassic Park movies.  Netflix brought Camp Crustaceous around, and dinosaurs are the new favorites.  I love it.  So we have dinosaur cupcakes to last the whole weekend!

Memaw and Papa came down the mountain for the first phase of partying and we celebrated with our first party yesterday morning.  Lily decorated the kitchen and had Jurassic Park music playing.  We had cupcakes for breakfast, and Evie got to open her presents!

Memaw and Papa got Evie her special American Girl Doll Horse that she has been asking for.  Evie played all morning with her doll and her pony before we got ourselves all ready for a day at Sunsplash.

We got to Sunsplash early so Daddy and the girls played in the arcade.

We had a blast all day and I only took a handful of photos at the start.  Even Papa could ride all the rides including the ride that dropped the floor out from under you!  We all rode the big inner tube slides and even took a few spins around the Lazy River.  It was such a fun day!

Evie Bee, you are so worth celebrating.  This year has seen an incredible growth and change in you.  You are no longer my baby and are now turning into a bright, beautiful, and strong young girl.  You love gymnastics and are honestly good at any sport you want to play.  You are intelligent and smart even if you fight me to do your brainquest.  Bee you are spectacular and all joy.

We still have more to do so lets keep this crazy weekend going!
