The Bee turns 10!

Evie Bee is 10 years old. I once thought getting these girls to age 5 was a massive feat and now I look at this little girl and I am hit with the unbelievable truth that not only are they way past 5, but we are no longer single digits in this house.

The time truly is FLYING by now.  As these girls get older and older and become more and more independent they need me less and less. Its good, but it has made the years begin to move at a dizzying pace.  Wasn't she 5 like last year?  But I digress.......

This little girls has totally come into her own lately and has such tenacity and boldness in her little body.  Its been such a joy watching her find her place in her new school and building friendships everywhere she goes. The social engagement calendar this little girl manages is impressive to say the least.

When Evie Bee turned 1 I made her a birthday banner.  I've kept it all these years.

So fun to bring it out every year since.

Evie's birthday weekend started with a trip to Memaw and Papa's house.  Memaw made a spectacular lemon cake complete with nerds and sour skittles on top.  Evie loved it! So did all of us!  Evie got some awesome new clothes and a quiver of arrows for her bow.

We came home and topped the weekend off with a trip to Makutus Island, Italian Ice, more presents, and playdates to boot.  This kid was thoroughly celebrated.

Evie Bee, I am so very proud of the little woman you are becoming. You challenge the norm, push back on boundaries, and find your way where it seems there is none.  You are tenacious and driven, kind and joyful, you are light and love and fire. Pure fire.  Keep finding Jesus, keep loving all in, and keep finding your power and your voice.

All my love
Mom
