This season of life is unbelievably full and busy. I miss this blog, I miss writing and giving my time to it. I have so many blogs that come to my mind right in the middle of my chaos and so desperately want to just sit and write, but alas its not the season. Grace.....grace. Turns out I cannot do all the things, all the time. So I will write when I can, I will remember what I can, and I will tell this story of ours through pictures.
Our summer was very busy and we ended our season of vacation on the beach in Florida celebrating Grandpa Steve's Retirement. We had this trip planned for over a year and it was so much fun to get to the airport for go time!
We love to travel and the girls do so great on long flights. We found ourselves in Fort Walton/Destin and were met with the humidity and surf.
Our house was big enough for all 26 of us. We got settled in, Grabbed Grandma and headed down to the beach. The sand was near white and so beautiful. What a great place to spend a week.
I am so grateful that all of our families are able to be together, under one roof, enjoying each other's company. We had 2 golf carts to cart us around and spent all of our time in and out of the beach.
The water was absolutely spectacular. Such an amazing place and the kids loved every second!
Lily absolutely adores the beach. This kid is her best self when wet. Don't tell any one, but we are all pretty sure she is secretly a mermaid.
Such a delight to see Ezra, Emme, Daniel and Laura. We spent some time with them last Summer and we just adore any time with them.
David, Melissa, Josiah, Micah, and Lydia were so much fun to catch up with too. Lydia was just a twinkle last time we connected. The beach was very busy during our trip, but we managed to find a fabulous spot every day to set up camp.
Bob did his Uncle Bob turtle ride thing. All the kids just love it when Bob becomes a human surf board.
I found myself an amazing Crossfit Gym to train at for the week. Miramar Beach was awesome and the people there were amazing. It was really fun to learn rope climbing and try some new tricks in the gym. Looking forward to exploring more and more gyms through our travels!
The Travis family was also there fresh off of a championship baseball game for Bennet! It was so great to catch up with them. Man do kids grow up fast.
We had multiple days of beach baseball and I wont lie I had a bast watching the kids play. One afternoon we all took a break from the sand to head over to The Track which was a fantastic play park full of rides, arcade games, and all sorts of fun!
We headed down to the boardwalk for dinner, ice cream, and fireworks.
One of the things that I enjoyed the most was when the girls and I started doing gymnastics on the beach. I, of course, love to do handstands wherever I can. So we all practiced those and then moved into handsprings and back tucks.
There are so many pictures that honestly tell the story better than I can. I am so grateful for every one of these moments and blessed to be a part of so many families.
Our Family Reunion was wonderful and all of us enjoyed our week. Looking forward to the next. Before all these kids grow up!
