Mountain Family Reunion 2022

Two years ago we started a tradition of bringing as many family members as possible together up at the Flying E Ranch.  Life has a way of putting so much distance between all of us and taking the time to come together even for just a few days has been so much fun.  This year we were missing a handful of families, but we had a wonderful time and the best part was that all of my Momma's siblings were there.  They haven't all been together in years!

Add to that,  My Aunt Jayne brought MyKenna and Kennleigh all the way from Wyoming.  It was so so SO wonderful to hug all of them and my girls were thrilled to reconnect with these cousins.  It has been YEARS.

My Mom adores being surrounded by these amazing girls who love horses and barn dwelling.  When, oh when did all of these ladies grow up?

New generations keep popping up in our family and I adored getting to know Miss B and Mr J.  Mr. J is headed towards big brother status too!

We enjoyed evenings around the campfire and sun burnt skies.  We even pulled guitars out and traumatized the kids with our rendition of Rikkity Tikkity Tin, and One Tin Soldier.  Such great memories!

Much of our mornings were spent riding horses and hanging out on the ranch.

We had a couple of afternoons of rain which made the outdoors cool and exciting.

When not eating, riding, hiking, or singing we just spent our time enjoying each other.  The guys played a rousing distracted (kids you know) game of cornhole with an exquisite rainbow as background.

One afternoon Bob and I grabbed our girls, Kennleigh, and MyKenna and headed to Show Low Lake.  We jumped off the dock and caught crawdads.

We visited Brenda and Brian's house one day where the girls got to shuck corn and hand churn our ice cream.  You can tell by the pictures that churning ice cream was hard work......maybe not worth it?

Family is big and messy, but its amazing and this one is mine!  So looking forward to the next year!
