Tennis

Grandma Longmire never lets us leave without some good time on the tennis courts.  She is an avid player and a great one at that.  She signed the girls up for some private lessons out on the island and the girls, although apprehensive at first, LOVED it!

They looked so cute in their outfits, and even when we got back home we found ourselves out playing tennis.  We had such a great time and the girls came back wanting to take some tennis lessons

And that tongue.....so stinkin' cute Bee.

Surf, sand, sun, and tans

Between parasailing and golfing, we spent all of our extra time at the beach.  The ocean is truly becoming one of our family's special places and the surf and sand was awesome.  The girls just love playing in the waves.

One of Lily's favorite things to do with Grandma is shelling.  She really has an eye for it and will literally walk for hours with Grandma to find the treasures in the sand.

While strolling along looking for shells we played with the birds and found ourselves some washed up jellies!

Pretty cool.  Grandpa was all about teaching jelly safety while having a mini science lesson.  So much fun.  There had been a storm that brought in a bunch of jellies and great shells.

Bob and I played frisbee and of course found time to do some yoga too.  The beach is always a hit, and this trip was no exception!

FOUR!!!!!

This year the girls started the golf program First Tee.  Bob was so excited to have them get started on the course, but I wasn't sure whether or not the sport was going to stick.  Low and behold the girls LOVE their First Tee program and came home the first day anxious to get back out on the range.

In Florida Grandpa and Daddy LOVE to golf together so one of our fun outings was an afternoon on the Southseas course.  It was a great course for kids because it was only 9 holes, many of them were right on the ocean, and the distances were short....plus it ended at a bar on the beach. (Margaritas anyone?)

We all got to participate and even I had a fun time attempting to play a sport I am most certainly not an expert at!  Unfortunately in true Lily form, the one bee in the area landed on her and stung her hand on hole number 2.  Poor kid.  The bugs are drawn to her.

So it put a damper on her golf grip and she decided to be the golf course chauffeur.

Evie on the other hand was ALL in all the time.  She loves golf.  She would walk right up their to her spot, set her ball up, and swing as much as she could.

She and Grandpa even had a private lesson out on course where Grandpa reminded her to keep her eye on the ball and let her body swing around.  Don't move those eyes!

High Fives' Evie and Grandpa!  You guys are awesome!

Lily was able to take a few more swings but loved just toodling around in her golf cart.  Both girls got to drive even though they aren't licensed.  The golf carts are the best part for kids!

By the time the last couple of holes came around everyone was hot and tired, but the consensus was a HUGE success.

Cannot wait for the girls to continue in this golf journey and hopefully will make Daddy and Grandpa a great golf companion one day!
