Hiking with Grandma

Since Daddy has been training for his 100 miler, Evie has spent a lot of mornings out with Grandma and Grandpa meeting up with Daddy to refuel him.  They have hiked EJ Peak numerous times and now Evie is a pro.

Sunrise over the last Chemo!

Confessions, I have been super behind on writing and documenting.  I am so behind that it is now April and this was a Month ago.  I have this lucky little feature that lets me post in the past, but here's the cold hard truth. I AM SO BEHIND.

I keep reminding myself that grace is the name of the game. Life has been A LOT this spring and it is 100% okay that I am not on top of my game.

Our Spring Break started up in the mountains with Memaws FINAL chemo treatment.  She has absolutely rocked her treatments and we were so excited to be with her for her final one.

We spent the next two days on the slopes of sunrise having an absolute BLAST!

Sunrise never disappoints and we are always treated to near empty slopes.  Even with lots of people on the mountain, the ski area is full of snow and every run was open so all of us could spread out and have some space.  Its the best.

This was the first year we got to actually go into the Apache Lodge and it was such a fun spot.  We had a delicious lunch each day and had a blast finding new treasures on the mountain.

Papa and Memaw even managed a run!  Time is swiftly coming to a close on Papa skiing, but Memaw is soon to be back on the mountain!

Evie finally committed to having poles and on the second day she was a full fledged independent skiier!

White out conditions blanketed our last day on the mountain, but Bob still managed to explore the Cyclone ridge and we had a blast navigating the wind and snow to finish with smiles on and tired legs.

On our way home we went through Globe and stopped over the Salt River Bridge.  Lily has been working diligently on her splits and it was fun to take some pictures together!

The girls finished their Spring Break with a visit to California while I headed back to Yoga Teacher Training.  Such a great time in the mountains.

Jenna and the Rim

We love Jenna.  Jenna came into our lives a few years ago and we are so grateful for her beautiful presence. Since she move to CA we haven't hugged her much, but she got to come out for a quick visit and we had a blast.

Jenna wanted to see the Mogollon Rim so we all packed up and headed up to the Rim for a hike.  The day was lovely and the weather was perfect.

Bob will be doing his 100 mile race up here on the rim, so he took advantage of the time to do a little training run.

Meanwhile us girls practiced some yoga and found ourselves some gorgeous overlooks to see the rim.  What a place.

Our time with Jenna was short but very sweet and we are so grateful for her friendship.  Evie asked me, "Mom, is Jenna our family?"

YES with resounding surety!
