Mission Inn

Bob and I are truly blessed.  Not only do we have an amazing home, friends, family close, and lifestyle, but our work allows us the ability to travel and see!

Over the past few months as I have become more and more involved with PSPC I have been gifted the gift of travel!  Yes I have to work, and do interviews, and help the guys out, but oh the places we get to stay!

Mission Inn in Riverside was just one of those places and in a word, it was magical.  Seems kind of cheesy to say, but it was spectacular and I am not sure I can really relay how cool this place was via this blog.  So the massive amount of pictures will have to fill in the tale.

The four of us have traveled before for interviews and we joke constantly how we can't wait for the next time we get the band back together.  We all have a great time and spend all of our down time socializing and enjoying wherever we are.

The Mission Inn is rife with rich history.  Its amazing.  From the moment you enter its doors you are transported back to a time when hotel stays were vast luxuries, tapestries far more ornate, and doors were tiny (seriously have we "grown") .

By the third night of our stay, we all decided to go exploring and man what a treat.  The hotel is basically like 4 enormous hotels all built into one elaborate labyrinth of stairs and hallways, and secret doors, and corridors.  You keep going and going.  You see influences of Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese.  This place....

My personal favorite discovery was this winding open atrium.  It was so exquisite and old and the history just oozed out of every corner.

The hotel itself is a mecca for weddings and this little courtyard below serves as one of the main outdoor spaces for tying the knot.  Its like stepping back in time.....the character, the detail, the designs........timeless.

The entire City has so much history to offer.  Bob even managed a 5 mile run to the top of a nearby hill with some history etched on its surface.

I live a life where my work trip gets a place on the blog.  The Mission Inn did not disappoint and I cannot wait to go back. We are richly blessed with the life we are living and I am humbled and excited for the next chance to explore more of this fascinating place we call our world.
