Merry Christmas

I love Christmas morning! I can remember as a little girl waking up at 4 in the morning and running into Mom and Dad's room to wake them up. They were always so willing to humor their spoiled little girl. They would get up and race into the living room to open the presents. So many good memories with my family and the Christmases together. As I have gotten older, the joy of Christmas morning still holds all of that wonder, I just prefer to stay in bed until 7 or so. This year we had my cousins up at the house as well as my Uncle Tom and Aunt Jayne, Uncle Chuck and Kristy, Grandma and of course Mom, Dad, Bob and I.

My family's tradition these days is to have crustless quiche for breakfast and this year Grandma made home made cinnamon rolls! Yum Yum!!! We all sat down with our coffee and ate our fill. I forget how easy it is to gain your weight in Christmas goodies. Good thing that Bob and I ran nearly every day and I also snow shoed with Mom. I think I only gained 1 pound! Whew! Although I would love to have about 20 pounds of a little Longmire on me. Oh well, God knows right? I guess Christmas just really brings to light the fact that we are having these infertility problems. There is a great uncertainty as to our next step and the road feels foggy and unsure. Praise God that He never changes. We pray that maybe He has a little miracle waiting for us in 2010. If anyone can beat the impossible odds it is the Lord!

Well, after breakfast we all got together in the living room and began the present unwrapping. This year Bob and I got my Dad and Grandma these cool headphones that connect to the TV. It lets you choose your own volume when watching TV and Movies. They loved them, and my Mom liked them even more because she no longer has to have the TV volume through the roof for them to hear. Bob got it all set up and they love it! The next greatest gift was the Snuggie that we bought for Grandma! She is always trying to get warm, so the Snuggie was perfect! Bob and I both got running belts to carry water and clothes. Great Christmas!

After we had filled two huge trash bags with paper, we all got suited up and headed out to the sledding hill. My family has a snowmobile and we cruised up and down the hill for about 2 hours. What a great time. Chase, Beth, Bob, Mom and I all had a blast racing down the hill. As you can see we had dogs dogs and more dogs all over. Poor Rocky was a little confused and couldn't understand why Bob and I were sliding down the hill. He would run up to us and try to sit on us to get us stopped. It was so cute. What fun!

Later that night, my Grandma outdid herself with the Christmas dinner. I think we had 10 different food options. It was amazing.

After Christmas the next couple of days went by in a whirlwind. We went to this awesome church called Jubilee Fellowship Church with my whole family on Saturday evening. What a great time of fellowship and teaching. The pastor taught on the subject of fasting and man was it convicting. Afterwards, we all went out to dinner together and had a wonderful family night. On Sunday, Bob and I went to see "Sherlock Holmes" with Chase and Beth and two of our college friends, Ben and Lindsay! It was so awesome to catch up with some college buddies and see how they are doing. Bob calls Ben Tall Tall because as you can see he is taller than Bob. He and Bob used to play volleyball together. Ben and Lindsay are pregnant with their first and we couldn't be happier.

All in all it has been an awesome trip! See you in the New Year!
