The Ring of Fire

Bob absolutely loves all things space related.  I think anyone who knows him, knows this.  So when his buddy Taylor asked if he wanted to take a last minute spring break trip to New Mexico to see the Ring of Fire eclipse, he jumped at the chance.

The 2 Dads and 4 kids hopped in our van and headed towards New Mexico making an overnight stop at Memaw and Papas house.

Taylor and the kids got to ride horses, drive the ATV, and have a blast in the mountain air.  They all left super early the following morning to drive into New Mexico to see the Eclipse.

They found the perfect spot, put on their eclipse glasses and watched as the moon perfectly centered on the Sun.

Following the eclipse, they took the long way home and found themselves at the Meteor Crater.  Having been here before the girls and Bob had a blast showing everyone around.

They all made the long drive back home and showed up having had a fantastic time together!  And hey, I got 48 hours all to myself. WINNING!

The Maggie Pause

Well I personally am not a Simpson's fan, but apparently the Maggie Pause is a thing. Evie and her Daddy have thoroughly been enjoying watching The Simpsons and laughing at all of Homer and Bart's antics.  Its such a cure thing that they have found to do together.

In the opening credits Maggie is scanned on in the grocery line and for a half a second the price rings up.  Pausing the credits at the exact moment it comes up is a challenge, but this little Bee did it, not once, but twice.

Apparently $847.63 was the average annual cost of raising a kid way back when Simpsons was created.  Don't thing there are enough spaces on that digital reader for a current number!
