Texas on my Mind

I am so deeply grateful for this woman and the friendship that I have with her.  I always tell my girls that out of all of the people that you are gonna know, there will only be a small handful that will be those inner circle, ride or die, friends.  Rebekah is one of those for me.  I am ever so glad that I found her and that we became fast friends.

Texas feels so far away, and yet she is never farther than a phone call.  She always finds the time to text me.  She always remains my friend.  It was so wonderful to get to actually see her after cancelling my trip multiple times due to the chaos of the past year and a half.  Hugging her in person just doesn't get better.

It was so much fun to sit and talk, and drink coffee, and sit and talk, and drink more coffee, and take everyone to see Project Hail Mary!

I will never not love her and be so grateful she is my friend.

Student of the Year

Well, what started as a little bit of a rough Freshman year ended with a Student of the Year award and a new favorite teacher.  This is Mrs. Hall.  She loves all things color guard, Star Wars, and WRITING!  They were destined to meet, and as Lily does quickly became Freshman Seminar Student of the Year.

So proud of you my dear and so excited for whats to come!

Revolting Children are gonna Jet Set Outta Here!

Lily's final big concert of the year was the Broadway Concert and it did not disappoint.  All of the High School Choirs sang amazing songs from several different shows and theatre productions.  Lily's group Aria sang a set from "Matilda" and Jet Set!  So fun.

Isn't she adorable.  Her hair extensions add a little pop and she looks absolutely adorable.  We all just adore watching her perform!

So I Make this Wish!

Evie's final performance for ALA was extra special because Evie had a solo and her sister got to play the piano for it!  Evie auditioned with "So I Make This Wish" from Disney's "Wish."  It was so beautiful and both Bob and I loved watching our girls shine on stage together.

Evie loved having Mr. Byersdorf as her choir teacher for the short time she was at ALA.  He really brought her a lot of joy.

It is always such a delight to watch Evie do things that she is SOO good at!
