All the Kinds of Water

My Momma's third round of chemo found me up in the mountains after they got a mountain of snow.  I mean, no joke, I arrived up at the ranch to piles of snow all over the place.  Quickly getting put to work!

The back porch had 2 solid feet of snow on it.  It was quite the workout, but we did it!

When not at the hospital helping Mom cope with chemo, we spend our days helping her recover.  I usually head to the gym to get a workout in, and then find the rest of my time enjoying the couch.  Mom has weathered the Chemo pretty well, but the days following her treatments are rough.

I spent one morning helping my Dad navigate the massive ice mounds that formed in front of the horse stalls.  I am so grateful for Crossfit because I was able to swing that pick axe for a good hour and a half with nothing to show for it but tired grip strength and some mud. Functional fitness is HUGE!

Lily had another amazing Synchronized swimming meet while I was away and her team did fabulously.

Their Tucson meet was wonderful and Bob and Grandma got to support her.

 

Evie becomes a DIVER!

Y'all, Bob may have finally gotten a much desired wish!  A diver in the family!  Evie has officially joined the competitive diving team with East Valley Dive Club and she is loving taking her flipping skills to the board.

This kid is an absolute natural when it comes to diving.  She has very little fear, bunches of curiosity, and a whole lot of courage.  

Her first dive meet was a raging success and she had such a great time even though it was "chilly."

Evie is quite the talent on the 3 meter.  The height doesn't phase her and is is so aware of where her body is.  It is so neat to watch her and in her first dive meet the kid took 1st place!

Her 1 meter skills are coming along fast too and she is all to eager to flip, twist, and turn any direction.

One of the neatest things is that Kennedy (blue shorts) is our dear friend Katie's daughter and gets to coach Evie every now and then.  It is so cool to see her with Evie.  I feel old, but I remember meeting Kennedy when she was Evie's age. OOOF.

The Bee took 6th place in the 1 meter for this event and we were so proud of her effort.

Evie's first meet was a raging success and no Lily wasn't diving too, she just came straight from Synchro practice.

We have little pool dwellers to be sure.  Good thing we live in a desert!
