Eponine and the Fairy

Halloween this year was filled with candy and exploring our new neighborhood.  Its all new and we had some amazing friends to explore with!  Lily was Eponine (from Les Mis) and Evie was a pink fairy to match her friend Grace!

 The Fall Festival at our church is EPIC and we all had so much fun making the rounds, filling the candy coffers, and dressing up!

RJ Comes to the Valley

Memaw made the choice to bring her beloved RJ down from the mountains.  It has been a wonderful opportunity for Evie to spend some time on him and for Mom to reconnect with the sweet boy.

He is well loved and all of these girls had a blast just hanging with him, giving him treats and introducing him to his new digs.

St. Mary's we meet again.

Fall Break opened the opportunity for us to venture to Colorado with Lily.  I usually just get to go by myself with plenty of photography work to do, but this time I took compadres and we had a blast.

We spent each day adventuring and spent a lot of time on the trails.  We even took Lily by the infamous rock fall location.  In case you need a reminder Bob took a fall down that rock face during our dating days.  It was scary.  Kind of an interesting feeling to visit it once more.

This kid is non stoppable.  She hiked and ran miles with us through Golden and I cannot say enough about what a joy it is to have a kid that does this stuff with us!

St. Mary's and Beau Jos pizza was a MUST do.  The Glacier has become so very popular since our days back in college, but it was beautiful and so much fun to revisit our dating stomping grounds.

It got cold and rainy by the time we made it back to the car, but so worth it!

Our last day we surprised Lily with an immersive TITANIC experience.  Lily loves the movie and the history.  It was a cool exhibit and a fun little surprise for her.

One of my final photo sessions was at the Dekoevend park where Lily literally played as a tiny thing.  Pretty sure I could scrounge up an old picture of her in that ladybug.....probably with her Father making her scream.

Our trip was a blast and Lily LOVED having all 3 of Sarah's dogs as evening companions.  Good Lord Girly!

 

ZOO Adventures

Okay, I LOVE the Phoenix zoo.  Me and the girls spent several summers amongst its many animals and trails.  Its been a bit since we have been there and it was so much fun to go back for an afternoon of fun.

These monkeys will forever be some of my favorites.  They were so active when we were there!

And I cannot forget the wee desert owl that I can't miss.  I love these little guys.

 A day well spent with some of the best people!

The girls take the stage!

The girls first quarter concerts were so much fun to attend this year!  It was amazing to see Evie take the stage with her show choir, and Lily take the stage in her first High School concert.

There is nothing like watching your kids shine onstage.  It is such a gift.  I have so many wonderful memories of singing on stage and I hope that these memories will hang with the girls forever.  It was so much fun to have so many grandparents and even a visit from Aunt Sue!

We are looking forward to many more concerts together in the future.
